Hi all.. lately the flashing speed of the indicator (left only) often has a mind of its own. Any thoughts?

Most likely, but could be fuse (think this would afftect both sides though)or earth issue.

If the Griff uses an old Bymetalic strip flasher then the flash rate will depend on the load. The lamp current heats up a bit of metal and springs a switch open, as no current is now flowing it cools down and springs back again. So if you have less bulbs connected (because one has failed or a wire has gone missing) the rest will flash more slowly. If more current than normal is flowing, perhaps because the alternator output voltage is too high it will flash more quickly. If the Griff uses a more modern, semiconductor flasher then the above is rubbish.

Its an electronic one that "does" sense if a bulb is out, or rather, the circuit is drawing less current. I know because i had to modify it when i went LED all round.
