996 GT3 Roll cage removal

I've got a 996 GT3 Club Sport... the roll cage is all well and good on a track day but to get more kit in the back (when touring) I'd like to take the cage out.

Porsche want £400 for doing this and I reckon I could take a bash myself (how hard can these things be?)... anyone any advice or experience in this?

They arent difficult to take out, just watch your windscreen. Easier with car on a ramp. Let me know if you want to sell cage...
