Out of the blue, through the post, the people at Porsche GB have invited me to drive a 911 for 24hours - which is very nice of them. The Noble's not going anywhere, but it would be rude not to I think.
I don't doubt the 911 is a fantastic car and would have been the obvious choice for me to buy, but I wanted more of what the Noble is - a raw driving experience and something a bit special. Pops and bangs, whooshes, flutters, smell, feel, sensations of speed - all make the driving experience fantastic.
I've not driven a Porka before, so it’ll be interesting to see how it meets with expectations and compares to my M12.
Now, I wonder if I can get to the Ring and back in 24 hours?

I got one of those this morning as well , wasn' t sure if it was some kind of scam though . It says you have a 45minute sales talk but there must be a catch , probably charge you for insurance or something else . Wouldn't mind a go for the day though if its not a con .

Didn't you guys ever see that show on TV...!

This show aired approximately a year ago and involved inticing local high profile criminals with outstanding warrents, to a fake football meet n greet. They all recieved invites in the mail and VIP treatment all the way... until the cuffs came out! Once there, after meeting a fake sven... the feds jumped out and arrested them all.

So... you guys paid for your nobles doing what exactly... laugh

Or... perhaps you reaaally forgot about some speeding or parking tickets!

Just make sure you kick the porsches... make sure they're not cardboard when u get there

Hi Paul,
Not bad thanks. Now putting out 400bhp but just a few niggles to sort out. Going to Gary's tomorrow again for the final straight of bits to be done.

How's yours? Is that temp gauge ok now?

Yep - working fine and the speedo fault has gone too. The next thing is to get the track sump fitted. Gary is going to do it either next week, or the week after I think - no rush. I spoke to Noble about the power upgrade and they only have a record of a re-map. They don't have a record of the MBE ECU either, although it has one [odd]. The plan is to get the sump done, get the turbo waste gates working to 0.7 bar, then take her up to Noble to get the map checked and overboost controller set up properly - I don't want it boosting over 1.0 bar. Then there are a few cosmetic bits to do to finish off.

Sounds like you're finally getting there with yours - which is good news

Can't see an auto cooking 911 pushing many noble owners buttons!

I think you're right, but it will be interesting to take one for spin anyhow

The list of options are:

a). Carrera S Coupe - Manual
b). Carrera 4S Coupe - Manual
c). Carrera 4S Cabriolet - Tiptronic S

Shame there's not a GT3

I reckon (a) the S Manual would be the best to have a blat in.

It'll end up being one very sweet M12. Can't wait to see it when all is in order
