Thank you to all who attended today, you will never know how much it was appreciated.

nono

Please do not use Pistonheads for unsubstantiated allegations, however strongly you feel about the current situation. Thanks.

Again Thank you so very very much for your support in whatever form the TVR workers sincerely appreciate it

SORRY DONT WANT TO GET INTO AN ARGUMENT AND THIS IS NOT PERSONAL AND DO NOT WANT TO GET PISTONHEADS IN TO TROUBLE BUT.

unsubstantiated

• adjective not supported or proven by evidence.

The fact the gates were locked and 240 people told to leave the premises.

ostrich

• noun 1 a large flightless swift-running African bird with a long neck and long legs.
2 A PERSON WHO REFUSES TO ACCEPT UNPLEASENT TRUTHS. from the popular belief that ostriches bury their heads in the sand if pursued.

Seriously mate, posting allegations here on PH, unsubstantiated or not is not really on, it's against the rules you agreed to when you joined and as it is someone's business, not just a freebee web site set up by enthusiasts. The mods stepped in did their jobs. They are here to make sure that the web site remains open.

PH has always shown TVR and those who work there respect and support, it's only fair to do the same in return.

I really feel for everyone at TVR and am personally appalled by the decision to close the factory. Everyone there was always helpful whenever I rang and I offer my deepest condolences to all who lost their jobs and my best wishes that they find employment soon.

Thank you Podie I along with many of the workers think it is truly the end for us. We just want TVR to give us our entitlements let us go and let us get a job with a company that would appreciate our skills and ability. Alas we think it will be a very very drawn out affair that will cause plenty of suffering along the way

Hello to evey one, its been a strange day, you know drive down from Scotland to a cold but sunnt Blackpool to play my last respects to a place that sponed a series of mad cars, and the SEAC is no acception.

To pass infront of the main building was quite some thing, rather moving to get cheered by those who desided to stay out front, well for me to rev my engine, beep my horn and wave good by to an erar that has lived for a great many years in Britian is not only sad but moving for one and all...
All in all it was a great day (it sisnt rain...) and to see the support we can muster on this great site to you Ted for letting us play here and to the chaps that started this day off.
I wish the best to TVR where every it may go(better here but you never get what you wish for) and for all of those very skilled people i hope things go in the right direction for you all.

Thanks

Hmmm, Im not sure what TVRmole said, but was it possibly something along the lines that allegedly a certain person who may or may not be called something remotely like censored, went round the factory at 12 and told everybody to go home as apparently a bunch of TVR driving nutters ( ) was coming along at 1.30pm ? The workers then may or may not allegedly have either stuck around or came back at the appropriate hour (an alledged appropriate hour of course) to mix with the TVR driving nutters.

Was it something like that?

Sorry for the censored but no names please, sounding "like" or otherwise.

If thats true then words fail me. I always thought the "nutters" were also the "customers" or "spenders" as they may also be known.
