Rear Lens Caps

Apologies for (another) newbie question

Both of my lenses came without rear lens caps and bearing in mind they're getting used in forests, I feel I ought to invest in some.
Looking on e-bay, none of the caps specify which lens they are for - am I correct in assuming therefore that all caps fit all lenses?

I would think that to be a very bad assumption!

Nikon won't fit Canon...etc

Sorry, I shoud have been clear, my camera and lenses are Canon

The rear bit will fit for all canon lens I assume but the front ends will vary as they have different diameters.
