subaru P1 clutch

just woundering if anyone could help me out.the clutch on my p1 is starting to slip whenever i take it over 4000rpm.is there ant way i could adjust it myself or is this goiog to cost me.any help or advice would be appreciated.

Sorry mate they are a self adjusting hydrolic system. Need a new clutch.

It's the same clutch as in my STi type RA. They don't last all that long before they slip 50k miles seems average in my experience. New ones are around the £200-£300 mark IIRC + 4 to 5 hours to fit (lots of car has to come off).

I'd suggest replacing it with an AP Organic rather than OE.

Agree AP ones are better

I think £80-200 for fitting depending on the garage.

Be carefull driving it wilst slipping, flywheels are expensive and soon damaged by slipping.


BTW I have a secondhand one in my shed off my old V5 type R (done about 10k).

if your in midlands (worcester ish) your more than welcome to have it. FOC

I use an Ap in mine, its an excellent clutch with loads of grip

thanks for all the advice,just one more question,does anyone know if the scooby clinic have these ap organic clutches and how much they are fitted,cheers.

thanks for all the advice,ive taken the car down to the scooby clinic and it should be back on the road within the week,they even gave me a courtesy car but unfortunatly its a 2 litre legesy, estate but i suppose its better than walking.
