Waxoyling help
Discussion
Quick question.
I waxoyled my car yesterday. Its a 99 car and I did find rust spots on the wishbones and the way along the outer tubes of the chassis. I brushed all that and waxoyled the whole lot.
I went to the West Midlands TVRcc meet today. Having parked the car after the return journey I had a quick look on the front left hand corner tube, just behind the wheel. Most of the waxoyl had bloody melted!!!!
I checked the tin and there is nothing to say that you cant drive your car for any period of time after waxoyling. I am a bit miffed as regards to what to do. Is it normal? Does the excess waxoyl disappear but the protecting properties stay? To me it looks like the chassis is bare.
Thanks for your help.

As far as Im aware a lot of the wax does melt away but it leaves a solid layer to protect your car. I had my Griff done by David Batty, drove it home from Guildford to Bromley & parked it in my drive. Went to move it a little later & found a perfect chassis shape in wax covering the drive..it looked like someone had melted 20 dirty candles outside my house.
That reminds me, I must clean it off soon...
I wouldnt worry about it.
