Any Car Friendly BiBs out there who could help?
Discussion
Hi Chaps,
A "friend" of mine is considering a car event in Central London, and wondered if i could establish the potential feasibility.
The event would be a simple matter of a number of cars arriving in London, gathering together, driving a pre-arranged route a couple of times, and then re-grouping before departing.
This would be a group of motoring enthusiasts, who have no political motivation or axe to grind, it would not be a demonstration or protest, and would be conducted peacefully, within the law and with the full consideration of other motorists, cyclists and pedestrians.
The questions that he would like answering are:
Does he need the permission of and support from the Police?
How does he go about getting somewhere to park, for the pre and post drive gathering? -Somewhere likeHyde Park, The Embankment, The Mall...
What else does he need to consider?
It may be that you are not comfortable providing answers to this in a public forum, but please feel free to send a PM through my personal profile.
And, if any other PHer has experience in organising a similar event, please chip in with your advise.
Many thanks for your help
David.
