Apart from Maplins and RS are there any other uk based electronics parts suppliers?

I'm about to build a second headphone amp and want the bits to match as closely as possible with the design and don't appear to be able to do that with the two above suppliers.

Thanks,

Mark

Maplin's range of components has gone seriously downhill in the last few years, in favour of cheap n nasty chav car bits. I suspect they may go the same way as Tandy.

Have you tried Farnell? www.farnell.co.uk , you may need a trade account though.

Have Cirkit gone down the tubes? They were quite good for components when I was into that stuff.

As kids we used Cricklewood Electronics for quite a lot of stuff.

They seem to be a bit CCTV centric now but do have component lists on their web site. (They do have quite a selection of Thermionic Valves if you were looking to build a valve amp scratchchin )

CPC which is part of farnell now I think. Don't think you need to be a comapny to open an account.

I was going to suggest ARD Electronics, but have just had a look for them and it seems they are part of CPC now.
