Passenger door will not open

hi - question for you cerbie owners out there. Have a problem with the passanger door on my cerbie.

When I go to open the door, the solenoid tries to push the door open but the window doesnt come down - also push the "down" button on the window and does not work.

Checked the fuses and they are all ok.

Any ideas?

just an additional bit of information

(a) all fuse are good
(b) unplugged and plugged in the the control box - no difference
(c) when i hit the window down button - i can hear the relay click in the control box - so this sounds like the box is good
(d) when i hit the "open" button on the door, i can also hear the relay click in the box before the solenoid looks good

any ideas here please - I am struggling :-)

do the motor in these things have a habit of ceasing?

Try pulling open the side trim on the rear passenger side it`s held on by velcro.Behind trim you can get your hands on the back of the door lock,there should be a child lock there of some sort,i have`nt seen it but i know it`s there.You can pop the door open that way and it should be ok from then on.

so.. its all fixed - removed the interior door trim by removing the six allen bolts, ad then freed the motor off - it seems that the mechinism was ceased slightly.

Loosend the bolts off that hold the motor / mechinism to the fibreglass, worked it around for a bit, worked some new silicon lubricant in there - and it all came good.

Quick question tho - the microswitch that works out how low the window is to allow door to open looks a little worse for wear. Any ideas where i can get one - is it something that maplins would sell?
