So,

Who went? What did you buy? How did you find it?

I took a ride up there yesterday, was surprised to find it all a bit low key. Much of the trading felt like a market, with quite a bit of cheap tat being gobbled up.

Managed to get hold of some Harris paddock stands for me and the brother-in-law at show prices, and also picked up a nice Alpinestar jacket (at least I'm halfway to decent set of leathers now!), for a very reasonable £250.

If one thing gave me the needle more than anything else, it had to be the ridiculous queue to collect tickets. Never again. I took one look at the queue and went and bought another ticket. I'll be taking the powers that be to task about this tomorrow. I wants me money back!

Had a good time overall. Totty award goes to the MCN babes, they looked like they might be fun...but there were some real mingers wandering about. One particular blonde on the Superbike stand looked like she just stepped off the set of your average porno flick!!!!!

:-)

I went last weekend. Lots of top totty about, Not many good deals going on, presumably as it was the start of show.

Re Tickets, if you go to a train station within the centro area you can buy entrance to the show and return train tickets for the same price as the show entry. So brought the tickets before leaving that morning, drive down, park up and then walk straight past all the ticket booths. Not sure if you can buy from any other train stations. Can do this with most shows at nec.

Thought the show was pretty poor, to be honest. Bought some new boots and winter gloves, though.

Is it me, or do other folks think there's less there every year?

I was disappointed this year.

Not many makes, and not much machinery on display.

A wasted day, really.

Yeah,

I've been hearing the same. Incrementally getting smaller year-on-year. Shame really, but I always feel like I'm having my pocket picked. Seven quid to park, Fifteen quid to get in (which I paid twice!!!), and then a kings ransom for a dog and a beer.

Same everywhere though I guess.

I was after some Alpinestar GP gloves, but there weren't any bargains to be had.
Nearly bought some Sidi Vertigo Corsa's for £150. Um'd and Ah'd then left it. Wish I'd bought 'em now!

The REAL show is the BMF, at Peterborough Show Ground.
Proper entertainment and proper bargains.
Everything from brand new to old relics.
The tail-end show is excellent.

I was at the tail end show this year and thought it was rubbish.

There were no manufacturers this year, and it seemed most of the bargins was for cheap tat anyway. I was after two piece leathers, the only ones i found which weren't cheap & nasty they only had one of my size (medium) which sold as I walked in. If I was 6'6 weighing 30 stone I would have had loads of choice!

I was there today but went to the snowboard show instead. I was hoping to find a little bargain but everything was full price unless I wanted to buy a full package of gear.

Agree about the parking prices, it's a bit of daylight robbery methinks.

I'll second that.....went on preview day and thought it was a total waste of money, with really nothing but tat going cheaply
