My Alfa is having a little bit of a tantrum at the minute. The car will start fine when it's cold and drive normally but if you use it to pop to the shops and try and start it again soon after it will just turn over. Then if you leave it for a minute or two it may start again but it may not. If think it may have something to do with the injectors as the car isn't flooding or smelling of excess fuel. Also the engine light is lite once it does decide to start, but when started up from cold it's gone again. It's not the Immobiliser either as the code light goes out before you try and start it.

Has anyone experienced this before on there Alfa?

Probably the crank position sensor that's failed.
Happens quite often on the Twin Spark.
German electrics you see... rolleyes
Happened on our old 145QV. Blooming annoying.
Wasn't a vast amount to get it changed but can't rememeber exactly.

Could be any of a number of things.Your best bet is to get a diagnostic check done - much cheaper in the long run than just replacing random parts in the hope of accidentally stumbling on the one that's causing the problem!
