Just trying to see if i can successfully post a pic of my car. Owned her for nearly 10 years, and just spent the last 18 months stripping her down, rebuilding and respraying.

With the miglia decals and shrill wail of the straight cut box, certainly feel a bit self conscious pulling up in a crowded petrol station, and conversation in the cabin is pretty much ruled out.

Originally a 91 cooper very little of it is original. The motor is a Slark built 1380 with a 296 cam, ive got twin SUs but will probably fit a weber now that ive made space under the bonnet. Wheels are 10" GBs and suspension is the usual fully adjustable bits. Roll cage etc. During the rebuild i made all those changes ive wanted to for ages; fibreglass removable bonnet, perspex windows but they do scratch easily, the weber air box, took out the servo, added some square tubing so that i can put in a simple flat dash panel etc. The paint is really shiney 2 pack all over, under the bonnet and in the boot, but the interior is left matt black, without the clear top coat.

She's a beauty. Good effort, we shall have to have a PH mini hoon at some point!

Here's the 66 stripped out machine. Off the road AGAIN with a smashed CV!

I think I've seen your car (haynes), parking at Crystal Palace before London to Brighton.

Nice car mate.

I think you might be on to an idea there LM. Perhaps in the spring, but if we start organising it now...

Assuming it isn't broken/in bits/needs a new x,y,z/etc

It would be interesting. Should have about 140hp at the wheels in spring
