Hi all,
I was a bit stuck; I needed six pictures to enter for a competition titled 'Flight' but looking back through my archives I couldn't find anything remotely fitting the theme.
So I had no choice but to go and take some specially.

These were all taken on the same afternoon.
The first three are entered as projected images.
The second three are entered as prints.

I'm quite chuffed - what do you think ?

Flying High

Out Of A Stormy Sky

Take Off

Airbus A320 - amazingly, this was taken a only a couple of seconds after 'Take Off'

The first one is my fave, in part because the landing gear has been retracted. In fact I spent 20 seconds staring at it wondering how you'd got into the cockpit of a craft fast enough to keep up to get the shot, what with modern security etc etc...

Great shot!

Is this a competition specific to aeroplanes? I ask this because 'flight' can be many things, and if they want 6 images of the theme, your shots may be lacking diversity. This is just my humble thought.

Competition could be anything to do with 'Flight'; to be honest nipping down the local airport was the easy option. However, I'm dead chuffed with what I managed to get given how little time I spent getting them.

Competition winner is the best overall picture.
Fortunately it's not being judged as a set, or your comments would be spot on.

I'm not likely to win
There is a club member who specialises in aircraft pictures. He regularly gets images published and h'e tied in withe the Royal Navy Historic Flight. Needless to say his portfolio is STUNNING. Some of his pictures are HERE

Edited because I got some details wrong paperbag

IMHO #3 is the best shot.

But maybe try something interesting...sycamore pod mid-flight perhaps, or go to a bird park with displays.
