morzine/les gets
Discussion
been going to france the last 5 years running , staying in les gets boomerang hotel 3 times, once in self catered apartment in les gets and once in self catered in Morzine,
morzine seems so much more central, better nightlife and easier for getting over to switzerland, are there any of you out there who have tried something differant over there which might be worth a go? open to suggestions
love going there riding but 5 years now and just fancy doing it differant from norm, going to america or canada seems a bit expensive and not really interested in going there.

I could recommend:
Staying at the top of Les Deux Alpes - lots of extreme sports going on there so very friendly & plenty to do. Very handy for several classic tour Cols. Mixture of lack of fitness, altitude & col bashing meant that we did not really experience the nightlife! (though it is relatively small).
Chamberey is a very picturesque & lively city too with a young population & plenty of excellent rides close by.

I recommend this highly..
www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=323985&f=174&h=0 which I did this weekend and for the winter it is still rideable below 2500M which France is not. It is also cheap, Ryanair fly to granada and the guide we had did 2 days guiding for 2 of us, uplifts in the van and rented a reasonable bike for one of us for 200 euros.
have a look at www.ridesierranevada.com
Granada is handy for nightlife and is one of the biggest uni towns in spain sop there is alot going on..
