I know this is a really stupid question. But i have just bought a Tamora and it doesn't have a manual with it.

I have been looking everywhere on the engine for the dip stick and where to put the oil but i must be blind or stupid because i can't see anything that looks like either.

Can anyone advise an imbicile on where these are?

Many thanks

Look for a shiny tank in a really awkward place under the front of the bonnet, where it hinges near the cooling fans. It's got a three-inch diameter round cap (also metal) that needs to be unscrewed. The oil level needs to be checked with the engine hot.

Great choice of car, by the way.

At the front of the engine bay, ally cap approx 50mm dia with a serrated edge.

Sticks out at a slight angle.

You need to check the level once it is at the correct temperature, approx 60 degrees I think, on a flat surface.

Thanks alot for that, just found it and am warming the car up now to check it. Love the car, had a Chimaera 500 a few years back, but this is something else.

I use a long funnel to top up the oil. The dip stick is right at the front of the car and you can't top up without spilling oil all over the place. Make sure you use 5W/40(preferred) or at max 10W/40.

I can photo copy parts of the manual for you if you want.

Hope you enjoy the Tamora.
