Does anyone know where i can source some spiders???

Whilst the cars in being repaired im thinking that i may aswell purchase a set of spiders to match the new paint job. Ive rung part ex wheels and apparently they dont part ex unless they are the same wheels...... i currently have the 17inch RL 7's. Does anyone know of anyone who may be selling a set? Or would anyone be up for a comfier ride on a set of 17's....

They are gold dust currently. TVR arent buying any so there arent any avail as far as I am aware. Therefore people are less likely to want to sell them on ebay (ie they get them repaired). Maybe some alternative wheels (see the other thread from last week)?
Spiders are very expensive 2nd hand. Up to £200 each second hand !! As they cost TVR £60 then you can see the lack of 'value'. You can always try the TVR specialist scrap yards but they dont have any either.

Why does everyone want spiders?
Keep the RL7s, they're sooooooo much better looking. All IMHO of course!

i agree RL'S are better and not as fragile i assume you know you need to do other things on the car to fit 18" spiders they don't just go on also the ride and handling won't be as nice also be wary of buckled s/h spiders as they are easily bent do a search

Although I think 18" RL7's would fill the rear arches a bit better and they had 9" rims, but they were prone to cracking. Shame really as I have some in the garage I'd love to fit

I like the racelines too and Dulford got me a set recently, BUT the best 18"'s have to be the ones available from Silverstone Performance and stronger & lighter than Spiders too.

Hi Steve, I have 5 x 18" spiders due to be sold shortly, I had a kerb mishap with nearside and am just having them repaired. I am looking for some extremely stupid wide ones for my Tuscan rears and will be selling the spiders when I have found some. I have a thread running at present asking for advice on what will fit and wher to purchase. I have just had a fairly posistive response from Silverstone TVR so things could be moving on quicker.
