996 creaking window screen?

Heard of this?. My used 996 appears to have it, or is it the dashboard.
The Specialist I purchased the car from only last Thursday appears good about it and is ordering a replacement screen outer seal which he thinks will cure the problem. Common problem?

Hello

yes outer seal causes this problem but i have fitted the new seals and it lasts 2 mins...

you need a special teflon tape that sits under neath the point of contact of the seal to the car it buffers the squeeking when the seal moves on the metal.

all this is available from porsche.

do them all the time.

Had the same issue with mine. Camtune sorted out and all quiet now.
