Nice photo's though.

the driving lights were actually an option on the S3 rather than standard hence one has got them and the other doesnt.
Having said that - inside they differ quite a lot too and that is the best example of TVR's individualism (is that a word?)
H840 has the round S2 swicth gear and straight dash
H835 has the later style square switches and IIRC the curved dash. very odd.

As far as I am aware this is correct. They were standard on S3C and optional on the S3. Psychoberts took the option, mine didnt. Mind you, its no good having the extra lights if your electrics dont work eh Simon

No good having the lights...! - about as bright as David Beckham...

Hmmm.. Most of the electrics now work, just don't follow me too closely for a few days yet.. Not that you can with my exhaust
Ought to give you a subtle clue as to what my engine is doing though..

that'll be the S4 bonnet then, looks fantastic:
Does look good that.. Personally prefer the humped version like mine though it is sporting a fetching stone chip right at the leading edge, (which had it not been there would probably have just hit the screen that I'm trying to replace now)..
Different mirrors as well!

Any chance of some pics of the interiors at some point. Never seen those combinations and dash design and switchgear before.
Leaving aside official differences (e.g. interior colour, half/full hide, 2.8/2.9 etc.), the differing characteristics, over all models, that I seem to have come across are:
- Driving lights; with or without
- Wiring of driving lights (where present) i.e. on with sidelights, dipped or full beam
- 3 different mirror designs
- Bonnet hump/intake vs. side slits
- Straight vs. curved dash
- Plastic panel heating controls vs. controls built into veneer
- Single/twin bonnet catches
- Front wheelarch liners; with or without
- Ski hatch; with or without (seems quite rare)
- Door handles; with or without TVR logo
- Radio arial; left or right hand wing (also some are electric - was this an option, or luck of the draw?)
I'm sure there are more, but those are the ones that come to mind. These also seems to occur in any mixture, with no discernable pattern... you gotta love 'em

Meant to say earlier, lower lights on mine (835) are fog lamps..
I've a photo of the interior somewhere, will dig it out and send it along..
