Electrical Gremlins

I have a couple of problems that maybe linked,electric windows keep blowing fuses,central locking does not work when you press the button on the golf ball and the green light is always on.Passenger locks on the outside now and then,Ocasionly when you press the button you can here the solinoid working and once when engine running it stalled when pressing the button.I have done a search and read there is a earth point on the tunnel somewhere and wondered if these were linked to that earth.
Any clues anyone?

Paul, for a clear illustration of where the two earthing points are beneath the transmission tunnel, see the middle photo on page 255 of Mr. Heath's Bible Vol 2.

The symptoms you describe would seem to indicate a possible problem with either (or both) of these.

Thanks for the advice.
Problem is i have a bible in a brown wrapper not to be opened till xmas.
Suppose i will just have to wait for the man in the red coat!
