Best keep in touch with your indies letting them know you are on the look out for a project car, you'd be surprised how many car they get offered directly.
They might also have cusotmers that have blown it up or written one off that the current owner just wants shot of.
I think you need to be realistic about how much a cerb is worth. The way I did that was price up how much it would cost to do the repair work then took that off the price of buying an equivilant car on the open market.
Obviously every one thinks their car is worth £30K but at some point reality has to bite, keep looking one will turn up at the right price, eventually

.Its not that i need a cheap cerb. Just want a prooject. No one races a proper cerb anymore so would be nice to get one on track.

Not saying money is the main issue here, just that I think it criminal to let these beasts die, so if one needs reviving then its the idea car to do up imho.
Also to take a fully functining one and rip it apart to start again is a waste of money too, no matter if money is an issue or not. Thats all.............

Not really? I'd say it was probably best to buy one of the cheaper cars out there and "do a longbow" so to speak... take it apart, get everything done properly. Alot of these earlier cars would benefit massively from it, especially if they had been neglected a little in terms of rustproofing etc etc...
What do you have in mind? a focused track car or just the experience of rebuilding one completely? Sounds like a good project to me, im guessing you dont want to do your current car as you want to keep driving it in the mean time?

The ventual plan would be to race it in the tuscan challenge. Possibly trying to keep it road legal but possibly not. If i get a cat B then it will be a pure racer. But mainly it just seems like a good project.
I will be doing the sprint championship in mine next year(mine could fit the criterior after that!)
