Driving to work today I was wondering, following on from the commments earlier regarding rebodies for MX5, etc, if anyone has ever done anything interesting with a Seven?

I was thinking how you could fit a mini body to the car, having a long bonnet and a low roof, and what else could go on there.

Yes, I know there is no reason why you could not do (almost) anything on a platform, and No, I have no plans to desicrate my Westfield, but just wondered if anyone had seen something similar.

Not exactly an interesting rebody, but when I wanted a 7 without 7 aerodynamics I got a Sylva Fury

Was just ideal meandering of a mind trapped in traffic... (Must remember to get up earlier tomorrow).

I know we have the Catherham 21, but was thinking what else might exist.

Caterham 21 Prettiest car ever!!! I do agree

The 21 is a lot more than a re bodied 7. The front and back of the car are different from a 7
The 21 is more the "prettier" sister of the 7.

Thanks Dave,

No interest in the design, maybe the concept is already catered for by the Fisher Fury and the likes, with its retro design, but no or very little interest, for a modern alternative....

Recent kit mags show some interesting variants
what about sylva stuff?
there also seems to ba move afoot with donors etc and styling mods eg Westfield
Cant really do too much to a 7 tho - defeats the original idea?
some changes are good but radical stuff? Start from scratch would be better
