Hi All,

Having a slight billing issue with NTL at the moment can any one help?

Signed up at the end of August for their 3 in 1 pack (Value TV, 1Mb BB and Weekend Call pack for £30 per month)

Had it installed and immediately realised we'd got the wrong TV channels and rang them up and upgraded to the Family pack (extra £10 per month). When we did this we got it for free for the first 6 months (so it should still be £30 at the moment).

All is good until the bill arrives for October £35.90 - No problem at all its due to come out of the 25 October. On the 20th October NTL Services relieved us of £48.17. I rang them on the 21st and they told me it was for broadband services. They then relieved us of £35.90 on the 25th October!

Nuts the lot of them!

It wierd that I can get 1 paper bill but they take 2 payments from my account! ARAGH!

Apparently to get around this next month my bill (should be):

£16.25 (TV/Tel) on my bill and £9.99 (BB - seperate bill)

Total - £26.24

After 6 months the Broadband will go back up to £17.99 and my bill will total £34.26.

We have 2 account numbers one for the Broadband and one for the TV\Phone!

ARAGH! Never had a problem with them over the years (Uni and at home) but this is just stupid!

Any suggestions on how to deal with this? I suspect that my bill has already been printed as its the 7th Nov (Statements are normally dated 6th of each month) so i'll have to wait and see what happens at the end of the month!

All you can do is speak to them again, and ask them how those figures came about.
I'd also see about almagamatting the two accounts into one, unless they're under two different names.
Pain in the arse, but that's all it should take to resolve the problem.

Both in the same name (mine)

Apparently its to do with the fact we have a set top box for the tv and seperate modem (Why this is i have no idea as in the past we've just had the set top box)

I think the separate billings are historically related to the fact that NTL has taken over various other service providers. It's a right pain in the arse. We had to set up three standing orders with them and they managed to cock them all up several times! The sooner they get their house in order and act as one company the better.

Speak of the Devil!

NTL customer services have just got off the phone advising me that they will be merging all my accounts into one and shutting down the redundant ones. It is to happen some time over the next few months. It looks like they are finally getting their house in order!

Expect it around valentines day next year, the signs are good for them getting their house in order.
