GranSport Hill Ascent Control?

Just found out my mum's upgrading her 05 Coupe for an 56 GranSport this coming Saturday. Apparently I'm a bit more excited about the prospect than she is!
I'm an avid reader of both this forum and the Maserati Life forum where I've heard mention of a "hill ascent control" feature. Just looking for a bit more information... Is this GranSport only?
Any other big differences between the two that are noticeable in day to day driving?
It's black (Nero Carbonio?) with black/silver interior - I'll post up some pictures if I can suppress my excitement long enough to remember :-)
