hicking when hot

could anyone please tell me where to find the coolent temp sensor on a 4ltr serp engine. the trouble i'm having is that when i first start my car it runs great, but when it's hot it starts to severely hick when i accelerate hard, so i want to disconnect the sensor to see what it runs like, i can also hear my fuel pump fluctuate when i put my indicators on, is this normal? cheers.

the indicators fuel pump bit might be an earthing problem at the earthing point behind the fuel tank.

coolant temp sens is ont he same side as the oil filler... on the very front of the intake manifold. Has a plastic plug with two connections pointing vertically up.
