I got the new guy to completely re-image his PC once with the sysinternals version, he never tried pressing a key, just went for the reset button every time. Of course, I just re-installed it after a few days... and let him in on a 'top tip' about how pressing alt-r 'closes the blue screen'... which of course worked every time hehe god I'm evil evil

My favourite isn't a screensaver but a desktop. Print-screen to get an image of the desktop, set it as the wallpaper and move the real icons somewhere hidden (and lower the taskbar etc)

Voila...authentic looking desktop that doesn't respond to the mouse

We've done that to a few people in the office on April 1st...... great fun!

As all of our admin staff have the same wallpaper, the same shortcut icons etc, it's an easy one to carry out to people who annoy you on the other 364 days of the year!

Another good one is to poke around in the registry and reverse the operation of the mouse buttons!

The best one has to be the screensaver. I had a colleague who spent a week building up an MS CRM server for a demo the following week. He had no end of bluescreens, which were eventually diagnosed as lack of memory, after much working late - so he bought another 2Gb for the server and installed it; 10 minutes later I had the BSOD SS installed. This was on a Friday with the demo Monday.
His face was absolutely priceless. I've never seen a more broken man. I thought he'd kill me when I prevented him from hitting reset and explained why, but he was so relieved I got let off.

The blue printed piece of paper stuck to the monitor screen works well with older (dodgy eyesight) users. hehe

My favourite computer-related prank is to go into Windows Control Panel and change the keyboard layout to Dvorak, then sit back and watch the mayhem.
