Hi, is there any recommended places to do such times? ie any shows or specific track days for this sort of thing? I noticed on OH TV that there are several videos of Exige's up against ferrari's and porsches and wondered if this type of event is ever held?

0-60's can't help you with
1/4 miles any drag strip in the UK, Shakespeare County Raceway, Santa Pod, Crail etc etc

The videos you've seen on PH.tv are most probably from vmax, an event run by CraigW .. pop over to the vmax forum and have a read..

Some car shows have 0-60 sprints, but their figures are optimistic with drivers launching behind certain beams.

As they have said, try Santapod and the like for 1/4mile times/racing.

My site, www.letstorquebhp.com has loads of theory figures for untested cars (check out the rwd etc lists) which also includes a calculator. Its not exact, buts its not far our either.

REALLY great 'calculator' tool...

I've used it to estimate the effects of the engine mods I'm considering at the moment and will be looking at perhaps a 4.25 second car! With a 0-100 of under 10 seconds... that's pretty darned good stuff for my 20 year old jalopy!

Ged, good to talk to you at VM, if you do drag it at the pod, make sure you warm those legal slicks of yours and give it everything off the line in that Skyline of yours. Let me know and I'll be down to watch.
