Hello, and yes, it's that time again! The Berkshire TVRCC meet tomorrow, Tuesday, 18 March in Three Mile Cross...

You can find us after 19:30 at The Swan Pub. It's off the M4, J11 (signed A33 Basingstoke). There is a sign at the roundabout for Three Mile Cross. The pub is opposite the BP station. The evening's weather looks promising, so it's scarves on and roofs off!!

I joined the TVRCC in June last year and this should be my first event!

I have a Chameleon Blue Tuscan S! Hopefully see you there!

I'll try and be there this evening, unfortunately am on-call for work which can be a right pain in arse sometimes.

Would be good to meet you EdT, didn't get a chance at VW, enjoyed watching your Griff vids through the streets of Reading! Nice sound!

Its an unofficial PH meet rather than a Berks TVRCC one

I would like to attend but in London tonight. I have been to just one and want to go to many more.

I could used some advice from the club on where to get my car serviced (98 450 chim). It needs a 42k now, have looked at Racing Green, Dave Batty, HH and Thames Valley race tech.

Whats the gerneral view from you guys, also need a clutch replaced.

Mojo

I am using Steve Howard's as yet un-named oufit (i.e. Steve Howard) in Hurst for the 36k mile service on my Griff. I used to go to Thames Valley Racetech in Sonning Common - but I went there for Steve's expertise, so now I go direct to him.

I rather like leaving my car with a chap who's setting up Tuscan Challenge cars on a Sunday and working on my car on Monday.

Although new to TVRs, Racing Green's set up is excellent, and I believe they have recruited TVR experienced mechanics.

Mojorider,

Have you spoken to Andy at APM, had my Griff serviced there twice now, he has done an excellent job on both occasions.

Ahhh.. that's right... the missus isnt quite fighting fit yet. Might have to perform nursing duties at home tonight, warming soup, fluffing pillows etc

But I might have to 'pop out and get some more milk' though

If you want main dealers....

I've always used Hawthorns in Farnharm (keeeping TVR FSH - have gone elsewhere for bits and pieces - its a bit of a commute for me), no problems at all, so no reason to change for me. Racing Green, I think have a couple of ex Fernhurst mechanics, so should be ok to.

Both Andy (used to be Station hill/Hawthorns)and Steve have also both worked on my car, no problems

Thanks for the advice, just contacted Steve H. Must say best prices so far so I will give him a try.

Wish I could make it tonight, I see so many TVR's on the roads around Reading I am sure many are club members.

I wave/flash all the TVR's, mine is a dark green Chim with a R*** DUG plate. I may have seen some of you, if so let me know.

FYI Steve Howard normally makes it to the meetings at The Swan. I've used him for all the work on my car after getting fed up of main dealer prices/quality.
