Just bought a V8S, see my big smile !!!!!

.. really wanted a griff and looked at a very tatty 4.3 for 7500 pounds but it really was a bit too far gone for me and nice ones are 13000 pounds plus - but happened to bump into an old harrogate area friend at tankersley and his sparkling new Griff 500, he'd traded his V8S in at a local ex-dealer and i knew it was a very clean one so went and made them an offer for it. the ex-dealer was Hillfoot by the way and the sales guy was great (big thanks).
Cutting a shortish story even shorter I put a deposit down on the wee beastie and hopefully by the end of the week I'll have it in my workshop.

Not as rare as a 4.3Griff but stil pretty rare to boot though, congrats on joining/rejoining? the Sclub .

got the baby tonight .. already let me down before I even got to drive it .. throttle cable broke as they drove it out of the showroom ..!! so armed with my trusty AA-man stylee bowden cable and solderless nipples (oo-er missus) I got to hillfoot and got her fixed good and proper. Had a great but steady drive back to the workshop - didn't want to have an incident on the way!! .. first mods? .. well probably a rear cage and harnesses, make the exhaust louder (it's got cats) and maybe get some griff500 sized front discs in there. Nothing too fancy, I just want to get out driving and enjoying it.
Big thanks to clarky for buying the M, and also for the great postings on here. Will try to get a piccie up soon...
