Hi, could do with some advice.......

I've just sold someone a Midi keyboard which we were using on our Mac's with Garageband, however they're using XP and although their PC recognises the keyboard, they have no music because they don't have an app to play it through.

I'd like to help them out by recommending something simple (and free) they could use.

I've seen a few things on Google, but as I no longer have the keyboard, or a PC to test it on, I'm not really in a position to do so and don't want to give them a bum steer.

So, any ideas? any recommendations would be gratefully passed on.

Thanks in advance,

Tony

Decent sequencing software is traditionally been expensive on PC's I'm afraid, althought there might be some good shareware stuff out there.

The baby version of Cubase, the SE edition can be had for £99.99 - good value compared to the high-end versions and will serve well.

The current version is 4, he might be be able to get v3 or earlier cheap on eBay or from other sources.

Thanks, this looks promising - the keyboard it's self isn't particuarly expensive so a freeware to let them dip their toe in the water is perfect - thanks
