Ally roof struts

Having some hood work done on the S... and wanted to replace the struts with ally ones.

So far, I've been let down three times in the last 10 days... has anyone got a set they're willing to sell? - or know where I can get some?

The factory are out of stock of S struts. You can fit Griff or Chimaera ones. Just need to make the hole a bit longer for them to fit. I think they are about
£80.00 each + vat.

Every bloody quote I get changes...!

Been quoted £49 each... then £56 each... £100 a pair... then £100 each...

One person hasn't replied... :hint: after nameing a price...

One example, there was a mix up...

Another company were very unprofessional and sold overnight what I had agreed to buy...

The Breakers I bought mine from have a couple of Chimaeras, and at least one of them has these Alloy struts available, I can phone them and check if they are still available.

Like I say they have a couple of Chimaera's, but I only looked inside one of them, to look for a Steering wheel for my S2, but they were looking too much for the Steering wheel so i left it. Anyway I'll check to see if they have more than one set (are the Chimaera struts the same length as the Griff ones ?)

I'll have to take some photos with them in place, but too busy driving the car to worry about pictures !!!

Contacted Douglas Valley, and they have neither Griff or Chimaera struts.

I got them from the good man called Shmern..!

Also, due to a minor up... looks like I'm going to end up with another set (forgot to cancel the order!) so I'll advertise them at cost if I get stuck with them!
