Boot Release

When I had my Chimaera I made sure I could work the manual boot entry method just in case; now want to do the same with my Cerb. Local TVR dealer said it was the same entry method as the Chimaera, but I can't find a cable in the expected place. Can anyone advise? (email obviously, not on forum).

I would appreciate being informed of the “secret” boot release too. Drove into Filling Station, plenty of noise, plenty of attention from other motorists and filling station staff. Jumped out of Cerb after waiting in a long queue for the pump and the ‘kin boot release didn’t work, no solenoid noise no nothing. Pretended to check my tyres jumped back in car and drove home hoping to have enough petrol to get me back. Car hasn’t moved since as I still cannot get the boot open and I have little petrol left.

Any help would be appreciated.

I bought my car from Jensena and had to ring him up to ask how when I blew the fuse putting in the new radio - it's on the same circuit as the boot release on my car.

I think we again should be cautious on this thread, anyone could put a photo of a Cerbera on there profile and say they have one, and then ask how to get in it.

indeed. Not wanting to be a pain, but new owners should get this info from the person they bought the car from. Any private owner or garage/dealer will know this, and they will know who they sold the car to.

Actually ggbird the reason I posted originally was that I did ask my dealer and it didn't work on my car. We can get too paranoic; if someone persevered and rang enough dealers he could probably get this information readily enough.

Even though I did tell the 2 guys how to get in, the thought did cross my mind that really we shouldnt be giving this info out too readily.
I think we should make 3 new Cerbera PH rules.

1. We never give this info out.
2. When ever we sell the car we make a point of telling the owner how to do it.
3. If anyone asks again, refer to the above 2 rules, and tell them to ring the person you bought the car from.

Sounds good but what about owners who find them selfs locked out when dealers are not answering there phones, or out of normal working hours. These forums can be so helpful in situations where you cant get any 'professional ' advice

I for one do not know the secret way in, i was hoping to ask you guys if i get stuck.

Isn't it somewhere in the handbook? I was locked out of mine after owning it for only a couple of weeks but knew how to get in it. Can't remember how I knew though.....alzheimers, here I come.
