Went to LSV last week and they fitted my new (and much delayed) AP Racing Brakes! Bedding in well, but havn`t really tried them in anger yet, but all seems well so far.

This means that I have the original brakes in a box on my garage floor. Are they re-useable by anyone out there, or are they just scrap? Are they worth owt or nowt?

My car is a 54 VXR with 24000 miles.

At 24000 miles the discs will need checking for wear.
Replacements with pads are about £1100 fitted.

I agree.
It does seem a little excessive but is what I was quoted.
Maybe I should challenge it?

unipart over in cowley Oxfordshire fella, they usually carry stuff for every car on road at trade prices over the counter. If it costs 200 quid for a set and they only last half as long you are still quids in
