Hi, new to the Porsche end of the world. I'm looking at getting a 997 C4s or similar. What kind of running costs can I expect on about 10k miles a year? The car will be an everyday driver, shortish work trips during the week and more sensible blats at the weekend.
I just need an idea of typical serving costs, tyre wear etc etc.

Cheers.

I drive my C2S every day and average about 21mpg......
Tyres are circa £240 per corner with the the fronts maybe a tad cheaper....12k miles before needing replacing so far....
Servicing is every 20k or 2 years which ever comes around first....

All in all a fairly cheap daily driver compared to others of the same ilk....

Yep, pretty cheap to run and own (until depreciation hits you...)

Not sure actually, I know they are quite high in the first couple of years, but as posted above, who cares if you have the chance to enjoy it.

Dont worry about depreciation (he says) - I done the maths myself. 997s are one of the best bets for this and the actual cost of owning the car is very reasonable over say 3 years. Check out whatcar website that gives the breakdown on this. Was considering an M6 until you consider you lose £20k the moment you leave the dealership....

Around 25% from list price in the first 12-14 months, I'd reckon
