Wedges at VW meet yesterday

Drooled over a dark green 450 SEAC with the reddest of leather interiors! Also light metallic blue 400SE that has been used for photoshoot on MikeB's website. Think I may have seen Beastie grumbling (exhaust not driver) around the car park - Blue 400SE with painted centres on the OZs.

Hi Jamie,

That would have been me, only bought the wedge in August. Mike the guy I bought it from, doesn't live too far from Mike B apparently.

Bumped into Matt_man who has a 400, saw the green SEAC, but missed the red 400 in the pub car park.

I was there but i had to park in the park car park next door as they'd shut the gates by the time i arrived. What a meet, there was some serious automotive porn to drool over!

Nice car that one that belonged to Mike, he didn't live to far from me and I may have bought it if the one I have got hadnt have turned up.The red 400 of Dave's is a really clean car saw it at BBWF.

I got there about 11.30 but couldn't get in so I ended up parking in the petrol station opposite near to Matt-man but he had gone when I got back to my car. Agree that the turn out was good but the feckwit who closed the gates needs shooting!!!

Love having the wedge, but will have to start on the jobs that need doing eventually. I am lucky that the car is basically sound, mostly cosmetic requirements

Yeah Dave's looks mint in the pictures I've seen. Yours looks great too. Spent far too long looking at the galleries on wedge pages, before I finally got mine!

Saw a few wedges at the meet, but not the owners. Said hello to gavinr who turned up in his cerbera.

Mike Bowen lives just around the corner from me mother. I did try and talk him out of selling it but unfortunately...he's in love! and women make you do dull things from time to time!!

Luckily for me he's in love! Missed out on a few, so didn't want to lose this one. Mike and his other half were very nice and I did promise to look after the wedge and will have to try keeping in touch with him.

I did feel very guilty when I drove away and both Mike and his other half were in the window waving me off. (Sorry, waving the car off!). If you speak to him, say hi.

Actually Mike you may know, I saw Matt_man on Sunday and he was asking about the ali indicator stalks on my wedge. I think they are from Leven, do you know by any chance?

Redwedge5 has had the Seac a few times at recent VW meets, from what I remember, but he normally turns up without it as it's in bits somewhere ?)
Failed to get there this time as renovating the house and no tax now. Couldn't even get the Jeep over the rubble

Just bad timing with the BBWFs! Got to the 2004 one, but diff blew before the 2005 and brake problems before the 2006.
Still there's always 2007
