Hi, Was driving through a width restriction over the weekend and caught my rear alloy, didn't think it was that bad, but after getting out and inspecting the damage it was !! managed to catch the rim and about three spokes...

Can anyone reccomend a good mobile alloy refurb company ?

Many Thanks

Try a Chips Away guy. The one I used recently did as good a job as the various 3 other places I've used in the past. Cost £30 (while he did repairs to the car's paint).

Have had, and heard very mixed reviews about the Chips away mob.

I just used Lepson for the mag alloys on the Diablo they did a fantastic job.

Try Wicked Wheels in Guilford - I've used them for a Vanquish and an XKR, did a great job.

Could not agree more. Lepsons is the way to go if you want a top job; they strip bare, fix, power-coat and bake the wheel properly. If you are looking for a top-notch result, forget about mobile guys.

scuffedalloys.com do the exact same as lepsons. what price did you pay for your refurb if may ask?
Mate, issue with this sort of vehicles is quality, not price (although you would also ponder sensible rates.) Lepsons gives both, although it's possibly not the only one, but I can speak from what I know. In any case, would not let any mobile repairer get anywhere near my alloys, but that's me. Want to cut corners on a Lambo, Ferrari or Maser? Fine, it's your choice in the end.

I had picked up on some good reviews so tried them on my front bumper on my Gallardo. Took 8 hours and in the the end the guy told me I didn't have to pay. Had it done properly a week later - mine was a terrible experience but the chap who did it was a decent enough fellow not to try and charge me for it but I lost 8 hours of my life watching him try to repair it.

Not wholly convinced. I sent the Ronals off m y 89 xpack V8 Vantage to them, and they came back looking fab. After 3 months, the lacquer started peeling off in large lumps.

They are going back to them for another go.

Used Wicked Wheels in Guildford too, very impressed. Will use them again soon (scuff on one alloy and a scratch on another from the tyre fitters recently)

First time I hear someone having problems with them... but fair call, if they screwed-up, they must re-do the job. Hope they get them properly sorted this time.
