What a difference this week. Two people who you realy stood fully behind and felt for their dream. Gorgeous house with huge potential. Nice to see it when theyve finished . Thats the only problem with these programmes - dont get the finished product.
Looking at the country I can see there are other places in England that may offer great scenic drives other than Yorkshire!

The bit I missed was when they won the house back. How did that come around?

The original "winners" could not deliver their bid, in either money or development. I think the couples offer was £345000ish. Thats £95000 (or two nice TVRs) more than the guide price.
Lets hope they make a success of it.

Alas there is a blanket 40mph speed limit in the New Forest.

You'd be in deep ---- if a horse stepped out in front of you if you were doing much more than 40

I've found this series a bit unsatisfying, I'd rather know about the country houses than the vile city centre shoeboxes (£140k for a single room FFS.) Couldn't escape the suspicion that the original 'winners' were a figment of the vendors imagination, but I loved the house.
With regards to flats, perfectly pleasant two bed city centre flat in Sheffield £110k. Vive la North !

The vendor was a trust, using a solicitor to handle the sale, which was via sealed bids. Therefore absolutely nothing to gain by inventing a higher offer...

I couldn't believe the flats he was being shown - they were like hotel rooms and for £140k! madness. These 'lifestyle' blocks are something else really - all the facilities of a decent hotel except as well as paying to stay there (£2k pa service charge) you have to buy the thing before hand. Who ever thought of this deserves, and probably now has, great riches. Seems a good way to remove money from the foolish and the over paid.

Still undecided about Kirsty, there is just something about her I find appealing. Hmm, yum

Agreed. The sealed bid system, although 'fair' and straightforward, does tend to have the effect of driving the price up. You only get one attempt, so the temptation is to go all out if you're dead set on buying the property.

I know what you mean - some weeks I would and some I wouldn't.
She looked quite good last night - nice red lips.
She's got dodgy legs but she used to wear fishnets a lot and that made up for it.

Daphne: was she the short dumpy one with the specs or the luscious blonde with the neckerchief thingy?

The latter I think?

yessss well I dunno - possibly a bit too chunky, although she seems to have someone who dresses her to show off the best & hide the worst.... might be interesting though...maybe....:deepinthought:

Kirstie

Velma

Okay, so they're not exact look-alikes, but they have the same idea of style.

And I still wouldn't.
