quick answer required re cigarette lighter

Can anyone out there who has their Chimaera handy tell me if the cigarette lighter works with the ignition off or does it need to be on? I need to check this for a charger but my car is 20 miles away from where I live! Mine's a 1997 400.

Yes, Mine is a 1998, and is always live.

All of mine were live permanently.........and all of mine have disappeared into the door at some time or other!

Agree with what everyone has said.......so don't leave your sat nav plugged in unless you want a flat battery.
