I know the APs are the way to go, but they are a little way down my priority list at the moment, has anybody experimented with different pads in a VXR? were they any good? Or do I just wait and save the pennies?
Thanks
Gareth

Roger at Monkfish has some uprated pads. Don't know what the cost are though. You can get his number from th FAQ's

They are fab. Obviously not as good as APs but I can do 4 x 100 to 0 stops in a row and they are still holding good and firm with little fade.

The only slight downside is the inital takeup is a bit poor but once there is heat in to them they stop mucho better than standard. I can 100% recommend them.

Monkfish did all 4 corners for ~£210 fitted. Good price, nice people, nice playstation, nice DVD player, nice tea and nice chairs. Bargin at half the price. thumbup

I also had Performance Friction pads done on all four corners by the guys at Monkfish. I agree first take up is slightly better but once warm and the second bite is miles better. Havent had any fade and I live on a ridge.
Havent had any of that horrible squealing I had with the old pads either. Price is on the sticky. Thanks Monkfish fantastic job
Have to go back to get the extras!! tea, DVD, playstation etc.. 100% recommend aswell
Roger do you have a price for the dampers yet?
