Oh dear, look at this poll on the West Yorkshire Scamerati website....

Do you think there are ever circumstances in which it was acceptable to drive above the speed limit? (You can tick more than one):
(3%)
Never acceptable to speed:
(0%)
On Motorways:
(4%)
Late at night:
(1%)
If “everyone else” is driving above the limit:
(0%)
As an experienced driver, you feel it’s ok to drive at the speed YOU feel is safe regardless the speed limit signs:
(92%)

Oops...

Feel free to vote, folks...

do you think they will get the message?
Undoubtedly!

They will:

(a) remove the survey
(b) bury the answer(s) they don't like
(c) distort the results
(d) dissemble
(e) claim PHers repeatedly voted for the last

Tick all that apply.

Do you honestly think they care what the public think?

But I voted anyways...

I did notice they state they only get money to pay for the Tax Collectors and the film for them. Didn't see the bit which said extra monies if they need plasma TVs etc..
Perhaps an FOI request is in order......

Up to 90%

Do you think that crushed by the grip of reason and overwhelming popular opinion they'll ditch their feckless campaign and come up with something that focusses on something more noble than revenue?

what i'm slightly concerned about is the 2% of people who appear to have voted for the question itself............

I'm confused, there are more statistics than options in your post... What's the 3%?
EDIT: Just realised it's people actually voting for the question confused, as someone has mentioned above...

And 93%

Now down at 73%, although I'm sure they'll claim that the 13% who voted for the question were intending to vote "Never acceptable to speed".

Which, interestingly, is stubbornly stuck at a resounding 0% !!! hehe

A bit of lateral thinking suggests we're playing into their hands.
Look at the results. Most people think it's perfectly acceptable to exceed the limits. So we need more scamerati.

I'm not writing my opinion, but what they'll write to justify themselves, if you see what I mean.

I stumbled across a poll a day or two ago asking what we thought the motorway speed limit should be, and we were offered anything from 40 mph to 100plus mph. A tiny proportion voted for 40 or 50 mph. rolleyes but I was pleasantly surprised to see that 22% suggested 100plus mph.

IIRC at least half of those voting wanted the limit to be 90 or above.

Best wishes all,
Dave.

No, it will be the old biddies who have no idea what the speed is, and will drive at 35mph down a nice Suffolk country road, whether it be a 30, 40, 50 or NSL limit. You see, they believe they NEVER speed, because they drive so slowly in higher limits, never noticing that they actually break the limit in the 30s.. I see it Every time I go out driving around here.

The community speed watch will all be breaking the 30 limit in the village next along the road, getting nicked by Their Community Speed Watch...

had one old girl doing 25 on some country lane, got bored of it, went to full beam and she got the message, another woman driver near horsham today, approaching a roundabout and cross over, silly cow pulls out right in front of me, horn, full beam has no effect and cant swerve as being overtaken.

Ended up purely by chance overtaking her and then every time she tried to overtake me, the car would wander a slight bit.

Finally she overtakes at 90+ and almost removes a biker from his bike, slams on the brakes at the next roundabout and i then pull up on lane 1, well in front of her, get the full beam at a few yards, so left foot brake and she dumps speed.....

Really dont need the hassle these days
