I'm struggling to decide what to do next year, thinking Britsports if the grids are big enough (as we've been promised they will be) in either Juno, Ligier or Lola. But the UK radical series is still on the cards along with Sports 2000 and V de V. Has anyone got some advise as to which way I should go?!?!

Price of the car is not an issue but want the running cost to be sensible (subject to me not hitting it!!).

I have driven most of the above but i'm testing to Lola at Mallory tomorrow and Donington on Thursday.

Regards

Edward

If running costs are an issue then I would go for the v de v championship, you get a lot more time on track for your entry fees and usually sunshine all weekend aswell.

Tony.

Hi Tony

I'm thinking if i go for a CN car then i could do a combination of testing, Britsports and V de V next year to get time in the car ready for a competitive 2008 season. After all as i showed at Donington i need some practice.

Did you start the 2nd race on the 4th?

Hi Ed,

What can I say - I think CN class is the future in sports prototype racing. Works for V de V, and looks like we'll have some good grids and a dedicated class in Britsports next year too. Sports 2000 is cheaper, but slower with much less downforce, and only sprint races.

Wearing my Juno hat, with Juno, you're future-proofed. If you decide to start in Sports 2000, you can update to full CN spec with some bodywork and an engine change.

Adrian

VdeV is by far the most expensive to run in, but cost per mile is cheapest - you get lots of mileage in VdeV - we've done about 9,000 miles in our Juno this year, with one more (6 hour) race to go...

Thank you, i drove the Lola yesterday which as far as i'm concerned it needs a fair bit more tweaking. Nigel Greensall was fighting it abit so of course it was almost undriveable in the wet for me. The radical in the same the conditions on the other hand was very impressive indeed.

The radical is slightly flattered in the wet by its Dunlops. It's horrid on the Avons that we have to run in VdeV. The CN cars, though, are all pretty awesome in the wet.

What about an old osella? Power in spades, but I don't knowabout handling, downforce!
