Just driving back to work and see a 51 reg Cerb comming the other way. As we are on a private road I deceide to 'flag' if down.

'I take it your going to London then?' is my question

'No, why?'he says looking miffed!

'The London TVR gathering regarding the factory closing and moving...' I say

'eh....who....'he says

'Their moving the factory out of the UK, were all going down to protest' I say

'Is it on the TVRCC site?' he says

'Think so' I say, 'but better still check out Pistonheads'

'Who????' he says

We are starting to hold up traffic now...'oh, there is someone behind you' he says and promtly drives off. He certainly did not know about TVR's problems and he looked like he did not care at all about it either!!!

I wonder how many other 'owners' out there are unaware of the current TVR situation??? I did try and get another car down to London, but to no avail. Hope others are getting a better responce!

I guess there are a number of Tiv owners who don't wish to be part of the experience of owning a Tiv, and want to remain private.

I was behind a dark blue Tuscan in Chippenham the other day in my Tamora, so I flashed him and give him a wave, and got no response. He did'nt even have a smile on his face.

How can you be driving such an awesome car without a smile. Each to his own.

I've mailed details to the Wiltshire rep.

I've not found any other TVR owner/driver not enthusiastically wave/flash me. The best fun was coming back from the lakes via Telford and a Tuscan roared past me, slowed, waved furiously, then roared off again

There is a guy in the next road to me has a cerbera, he has never heard of pistonheads, and is not a member of any club, he just buys flash cars runs them for a couple of months and then moves on. So to him its just another car. Each to his own.
