Just started using this again as car not being used quite as much now.
How long should it take to get the battery up to full charge, ie when should the yellow light go out and the green one come on.

took the car out on sunday and done approx 120 miles, and put the accumate on when we got back on sunday evening. Just gone out to the garage and it is still charging with the yellow light still on.

From what i can remember last winter, it only use to take a day or so to get it back to to full charge after a blast out.

It can take up to 72 hours to trickle charge the battery back to fully charged. Generally speaking, after a good run mine takes 24-48 hours to finally change from yellow to green LED.

Normally within 24 hours, although if your battery is geting past it's best a bit longer. If you have left the boot open it will never go out.

Thanks Guys.
Boot was shut and the alarm was on. Would the alarm being on stop it from turning from yellow to green?
Only had the car for a few weeks, so not sure how good the battery is. Has always started OK todate.

When I re-connect my accumate after a run (new Morgan rarely used) orange light usually goes out after an hour or so....

The alarm being on would not stop the Accumate changing state it would just take a bit longer. How have you connected it to the battery?

Don`t know to be honest, it was already wired in when i got the car. Unit is in the boot, so just trail,an extension lead in and plug it in. The unit is warm ,so presumme working ok.

I use the car pretty much everyday for a short commute with the odd hour blast here and there. I find the Accumate can take 36 hours to fully charge the battery. I use the Accumate once every week or so. However I have noticed that if the Accumate is left on following a full charge, it will periodically go back to charging - when the voltage level of the battery drops due to the Alarm consuming power for example. Hence if you happen to take a look at such a time, it would seem like it hasn't reached full charge, even though it has. Not sure of the frequency this occurs, but I have witnessed it changing from a full to an empty indication.

When I first got mine (having a few problems due to infrequent use of car at the time) it took about three days.
However, under normal use I believe that the device runs on a half-hourly cycle, so if your battery is not 100% it will switch on (yellow light). This is possible as the clock, alarm, immob. etc. all drain the battery slowly. Once back up to "full" it switches off (green light).
Even if the green light is on it switches to yellow as soon as I open the door via the key fob.

Ditto. Tho' on my Tuscan I press the boot lock latch down (turning the boot light out).......results in a faster charge......
