Well the bad news is that it failed SVA the good news is that it only failed on three points. The bad news is, bias bar not drilled and roll pinned , excessive binding on the rear nearside brakes (I suspect the poxy handbrake calliper, the old style) oh and a quick fix I did on a knob resulted in it being over 9.5mm. my own stupid fault.
Oh and it has pi $ed with rain all day......but am I down hearted.....no because it passed the noise test with 95db and it was smoking like a good'n but I explained that I've had no chance to run it to bed the rings in and he let it go, plus he was getting wet (result!)

I have until December 15th to get it retested as the centre in Chelmsford is closing for 7 months!!!

Factory supplies a kit for the locking of the bias bar. Speak to Andy. Like a lot of the SVA tricks you have to be a psychic to know that you need it though!!!

I think we suspected the rear brakes may be a problem just a shame we couldn't get round to 100% sorting it last night... and the balance bar, I guess that goes down to experience.

Gotta say I'm not surprised about the knobs, I'd have failed them just because they looked so silly

Excellent news that its only these 3 points though... but saying that it is a nicely put together car, very good job.
Now sod sleep and get in that bloody garage & sort them items out.

It Has to be permanent,
i used some filler shaped to look like weld and painted over it..
went through fine!

Not so bad Graham!. Good luck with the retest. I should have mine back on the road in a few weeks. First a trip to the rolling road and then the MOT station.
