To be honest Andy at that type of money your nearly on for a carcoon I just bought one for my 400se have a look on google at carcoon.

No its not Nicks old one which in fact the only other 400 ive seen in this colour might be heaps of them ??
I got an outside one because I live near the sea and it costs about £500 you could not buy a garage for that and it keeps your battery charged IMO I think its good value for money if you want to protect your classic or investment.

Well, I got my half cover from these guys, but it isn't a great fit.

I am still getting water inside the car - the cover is a generic one, and the wing mirros fit inside stretchy bags, which don't appear to be water resistant. The inside of the windscreen demists a little quicker now, but I still have to bail out a cm of water from the passenger footwell if it rains.

I made ** my own cockpit cover (it was in use at the wettest Wedgefest ever) from some cloth my mate purloined from the textile mill he worked at. There are two layers, the outside is a denim-effect grey lightweight intended for outdoor wear (it faded like hell, but then I guess denim does that 
) whilst the inner layer is a totally impermeable purpley-lilacy-blue bearing an uncanny resemblance to the stuff surgical gowns are made from because, well, it IS the stuff they're made from
Nothing, and I mean NOTHING, gets through it. The outer layer gets wet but dries very quickly. It stays in place in light winds only, although the Velcro straps stop it from blowing completely off the car. I suppose you could make a full cover from it... in fact I think I may patent the idea.

I use one of their half covers for my car and it keeps the inside dry. Maybe yours is letting water past the door seals further down? Or its coming through a hole in the bulkhead once its got iside the engine bay?
The only problem with I have had with the cover is the elastics stretch so you keep having to tie knots in them to keep the cover taught.

I previously bought a very expensive goretex breatheable cover, about £250 if I remember correctly, which wasn't very good at all.
However, I recently bought a classic additions half cover (small) and it's absolutely marvellous, best £41 I have ever spent, it keeps it dry, but also lets air circulate well.

I can't complain about the quality. Does what it says on the tin.
I got mine at the classic car show at the NEC this year where they were giving a 20% discount. Might be worth trying to blag a 20% discount if you go down this route?
