Just got it today for my birthday and what an amazing range of Mustangs!

I loved them all and it seems that the Roush is the one to go and NOT the Shelby 500

Simply fantastic even if you do not like Clarkson

I can only suggest to get this DVD... full of "americana"

Yeah, it's good mindless entertainment for an hour or so. If you like to see Vipers lit up and sideways for hundres of yards, it's pretty good for that too...

But how good was that modded FGT...? cloud9

Cool. If I don't get it for Xmas, I'll pick it up from the £5 bargain section in January

My missus gave this to me early on Saturday. Quite a bit on the Mustang. But JC is an utter berk. He doesn't seem to do any research into anything he does. So many errors in his comments on the cars.

For starters, the red convertible Mustang that he raced against a horse. He said it had a 4.6 litre, 300 hp engine. What an idiot. He was driving the V6 version of the car! He said the handling wasn't great either, but this was the base model V6, and a convertible!

Then he said the Shelby GT500 had a 4.6 litre engine... Doh!

His video proves nothing. He raced a Lotus Exige around the track against the Roush Mustang. In such a track focused role, the Exige was bound to win. The Roush Mustang, for all it's speed is not a track car. He said the Lotus was the best the UK could offer. So why didn't they use the best the US has to offer. Where was the Saleen S7? ...Or the Mosler MT900? These are cars that are track focused and more in the same vein as the Exige? ...why? Because, they would have annihalated the Exige on the track. And JC can't have the American's winning in his video eh?

The whole video is a farce. Everything has been scripted to ensure that the American's come out last.

The Lincoln Town Car versus the Jag for water retention is utterly pointless. The Lincoln's design was rooted deep in the 70's. Comparing it to a late 80's Jag. Give me a break.

And whether you think the sound of a Ferrari V8 is better than an American V8 is purely the individual's opinion. If you ask me, the Ford GTX1 had a sound that was purely intoxicating. The Ferrari just sounds like wringing a chicken's neck!

Total farce. To me, it sounds like JC has something to prove. But deep down, I think he love's some of the newer metal to come out of the USA. It's almost as if he feels threatened by them.

See for yourself!

I actually did not care what JC was saying at all... I was just gorging myself in the sight of all those magnificent Mustangs and letting the sound of their exhausts make my day

JC is highly controversial and on US cars I would not take him seriously. A cheap laugh...

If someone else has some good DVDs on Mustangs to suggests for the Xmas stocking... well I am all ears

Indeed, Mr Clarkson often needs to be taken with a LARGE pinch of salt. Let's face it, he's now an entertainer (whatever that means) rather than a pure motoring journalist. He won't let facts stand in the way of a good video.

As Mr 67 states above, just enjoy the cars and forget anything JC is talking about.
