Back on the road!

At last!! Six weeks after having Michael, I was finally allowed back behind the wheel of a car yesterday (no insurance policy would cover me before then). This has persuaded me to behave on the roads, I definitely wouldn't want to be banned from driving for any longer than six weeks! What did people do in the days before Internet shopping?? However, at no time was I ever so desperate for a shopping fix that I had to use public "transport"!

The strange thing is that I found it a bit difficult yesterday to judge my speed as accurately as usual. Funny that. Oh well, just have to get in some more practice.....

It does make you wonder, though - what about all those people who pass their tests at 17 and then don't drive at all until they're in their 40s or something? A point in favour of regular retesting, methinks...
