I am trying to remove passenger side drop links in order to gain access to the front wheel bearing nut.
Both front wheels are off the ground and I have removed the nuts from the drop link. The problem is that I cannot find a way of removing the links!!! There is not enough give in the linkage to allow the threaded section to be pushed through the mounting either at the roll bar end of the wish bone.
What am I doing wrong? HELP!!

Not absolutely certain what you are trying to do, but try raising the height of the wheel you are not working on. This may remove some of the load on the anti roll bar. Sounds like both wheels are hanging and when you try to lift the drop link free you are trying to also lift the weight of the other wheel via the roll bar.

Errr how are the wheels off the ground? If they are on axle stands under the wishbones then the ARB will be preloaded. Move the axle stands onto the central chassis. They can also be sticky and need some persuading to free the bolt out of the ARB in particular.

It's on axle stands under the chassis. All done now. I think all the swearing convinced it to give in!

I find the Speaking Of The Magic Words quite often helps in such circumstances.
