Just looking at the TVRCC web site I noticed the tours to the French Riviera (Monaco Cannes Millau) in April and May next year, one being supported by TVR Power the other by Racing Green. I'm thinking of booking on one of these and my wife wondered who else might be going and, if they tend to be couples or mainly blokes? So... anyone on here going on either of these? scratchchin Rich...

Hi,

I am going on the TVR power tour in April.

It tends to be mainly couples and in my experience you'll meet some great people and have a fanstic time. (Darren you owe a discount)

For me, the driving on the Power tours is just right. You can go hell for leather with the front crowd or chill out near the back. You don't just get handed a map and told to get on with it. yikes

The tours are unique in that, it has a leave no man or women behind attitude. Power supply an engineer, usually Dom (MD and owner for Power) to ensure we all get around. The engineer usually hangs around the back of pack to pick any one up.

We all have radios to chat and joke with each other during the day.

Darren from DA tends to lead the fast crowd and Graham, co owner of DA, leads the second slower paced pack.

You'll find yourself moving between packs.

I'd highly recommend a DA run trip especially the TVR Power one as Dom's a great laugh.

Equally if your a Racing Green customer, the tour will be great but as I am not there it will be missing something bandit as I am sure Darren will confirm.

Hi John, as it happens I am a Racing Green customer so I may well book with them but I see that was well as the benefit of your company on Dom's tour it also coincides with the Supercar show at Monaco decisions, decisions eh!

I have also booked on the TVR Power trip with my 16 year old son. I have never been on any of these trips before but it looks fantastic. Can't wait to take the Cerbera for a proper drive should be a blast, from the tail pipes aswell as the trip .

Hi Rich,

Clearly some of the guys have kindly given you their independant view of the tours. To clarify, the Racing Green tours are also mainly dominated by couples - it's currently running at around 70%. Again as with the TVR Power tours, a really great bunch of people go.

In both cases, the large majority of people who have booked on the French Riviera tours, came on the respective Swiss Alps adventures which again were run for both companies - so hopefully that says something.

I hope we all get to meet you and your wife on one of them.

Hi Rich,
Thanks for your booking. You got it in just in time - we had an onslaught of bookings over the last 24 hours resulting in the Racing Green Cars tour selling out.

I wonder why that was!!??

I'm on the Racing Green trip to Monaco!!

It looks like there's some type of "Pink Ladies" thing going on courtesy of the Bristol RO, maybe we can rebel against that idea and be the "T birds!"
