Slight oil leak...
Discussion
Just got back from an outing in the chim and noticed a small patch of oil in the parking space... On closer inspection, it appears to be coming from the bottom of the oil pump somewhere as a couple of the jubilee clips have oil on them and the tubes underneath have a bit of oil on them which appears to be dripping down (very slowly) to the chassis and then the floor...
I noticed that there was some oil on the pipes before but it had never dripped so im assuming that the problem is becoming steadily worse. I cant really get a good look at the moment as its still very hot but any ideas what it could be? Is it more likely to be a gasket or a jubilee clip? And whats the easiest way to fix this problem??
Thanks,
Nick

Nick you would be better off to wash of this area with jizer or similar degreaser, then run just long enough to see where oil loss is from, may be your oil switch or something trivial, good luck.just a quick tip if you suspect the oil switch wrap in kitchen roll before you take for run,if it is it will soak the tissue, before it leaks all over the sump area.
just went and had another look now its cold, it hasnt dropped any more oil so I assume it only leaks when under pressure... It looks like its definately the jubilee clip on the bottom offside of the oil pump as theres nothing oily above it, the pipe has an oil mark running down.. I will clean up the area and tighten it up and see if that stops it!
Also going to do a full oil change and replace the exhaust manifold gaskets and remove the pre cats this week, will elf 15/50 racing oil be ok? The reason I ask is that I have a friend who works on a formula renault racing team and I can have as much of it as I want for free, so would be nice if I didnt have to shell out for different oil!
